Magnetic Resonance Imaging

  • Ultra-High Field 7T Siemens Terra MR scanner with single-transmit (sTx, 1-Tx/32-Rx) and parallel (pTx, 8-Tx/32-Rx) 32-channel receive RF coils.
  • SKOPE system integrated with the 7T Siemens MAGNETOM Terra, enhancing MRI examinations by measuring real-time magnetic field variations and correcting spatial encoding imperfections.
  • BrainAmp MR (plus) system with BrainCapMR7flex caps and software package for handling scanner-related artefacts in the Brain Analyser environment, enabling high-quality simultaneous EEG-MRI recordings.
  • 3T Siemens Prisma MR scanner with 64- or 20-channel receive RF head-neck coils.
  • Both scanners are equipped with MRI-compatible auditory and visual systems, Eye-tracking, and physiological monitoring devices.
  • Possibility to expand imaging capabilities to other applications (e.g. knee and spinal cord imaging).
  • Heteronuclear applications at 7T,  exploring nuclei such as 19F, 13C, 23Na, and 31P, made possible due to the higher signal-to-noise ratio.
  • MRI-compatible response pads (2 buttons, 4 buttons, roll-scroll) (Current Designs)

PET Imaging

  • PET imaging studies for Human is conducted in collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine Department of CHU Liège on their Siemens Biograph Vision 600, a highly advanced imaging device that provides detailed and accurate images for both clinical and research purposes.
  • Siemens ECAT HR+ PET Scanner dedicated solely to large animal research. The scanner offers high-resolution whole-body and brain imaging with 2D/3D dynamic acquisition modes and advanced image reconstruction capabilities.
  • For small animal imaging, services are available at the animal facility platform, equipped with Molecubes X-cube and ß-cube scanners.
  • Siemens Concorde FOCUS 120 PET scanner, featuring list-mode data acquisition, is utilized by the GIGA-Cyclotron platform for preliminary in-vivo radiotracer development and proof-of-concept studies.
